Conscious nations never forget the sacrifices of their martyrs

Shri Amarnath Samiti has paid glowing tributes to all the 13 martyrs of 2008 Amarnath land row agitation who scarified their lives during the Amarnath land row.The function was organized in a big way with huge participation of people at  Geeta Bhawan, Jammu. The focus of the programme was to remember and recall the supreme sacrifices made by the martyrs during the agitation. Sangharsh Samiti honored the family members of all the martyrs by presenting them shawls as a token of respect. The photographs of all the martyrs namely Manjit Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Kuldeep Verma, Sanjeev Singh Samyal, Sunny Padha, Narinder Sharma, Dr. Balwant Raj Khajuria, Deepak Kumar, Bodh Raj, Girdhari Lal  Jaswant Singh Ajab Singh and Satish Pandita  were placed on the stage bedecked with flowers and garlands.Paying floral homage to the martyrs Brgd.Sucheet Singh  Convenor of the Samiti described their sacrifices as supreme service to the nation. He said that the conscious nations never forget the sacrifices of their people and try to fulfill the cause for which those people laid down their lives.   He said the 2008 agitation brought all the nationalist people of Jammu & Kashmir under one umbrella to agitate against the repeated discrimination with Jammu in all matters and at all levels.  It was the out burst and anger of Jammuites  & Kashmiri Pandits against the successive governments which had taken them  for granted
Dr.Jitendra Singh a member of Samiti, said it was a historic agitation which sent a clear message that the nationalist people of Jammu & Kashmir will not tolerate any discrimination and that they can achieve what they deserve. He said the people of Jammu have been consistently agitating since 1947 on different issues which were directly related to the national cause and full integration of the state with the rest of the country. "Be it Praja Parishad, Jana Sangh or Sangarsh Samiti, we have always stood with the nationalist people in the state and even sacrificed our youth while fighting against discriminatory policies and against anti-national elements.   
Speaking on the occasion Chairman of Shri Amarnath Shaheed Memorial Trust & former Convenor of Sangarsh Samiti  Leela Karn Sharma criticized the state government for  not keeping its promise of compensating traders, transporters, industrialists, farmers and others, who suffered losses during the agitation to the tune of 15,000 crores alleging this was so because of its anti national approach.  

He  
said that lacs of people including our security personals have laid down their lives for the Nation since 1931 and the nation owes a lot to these martyrs and will never let down their sacrifices. He said the cancellation of Shri Amarnath Land and speech made by Omar Abdullha in Parliament  in  2008  showed the mentality of rulers in Jammu & Kashmir, He said to remember the martyrdom of the grat martyrs of Bharat Mata in J&K, Sangarsh Samiti has created  Shri Amarnath Sheed memorial trust which  will construct a memorial in the name of these martyrs at Jammu. Prominent among others who attended the Swabiman Diwas were Mahant Rameshware  Dass ji Maharaj,  Prof.Hari Om,  Dr. Gautam Mengi, Ashwani Chirango,  BJP Legislature Party leader Jugal Kishore Sharma, BJP state president Shamsheer Singh Manhas, Dr.Nirmal Singh President Brahmin Sabha Ved Prakesh Saharma  Prof.Narinder Singh, Advocate Chander Mohan Sharma, Chander Prakesh Ganga, Annan Sharma, Pritam Sharma Shakti Dutt Sharma and Mohinder Pal Singh Pandu,
